Korean Beef Short Ribs

Korean Beef Short Ribs
From Kikkoman Aji-Mirin
(Makes 4 Servings)

3 lbs beef short ribs                                  ¼ cup chopped onion                             1 large garlic clove, minced
1/3 cup Kikkoman Aji-Mirin                      1/3 cup Kikkoman soy sauce                 1 Tbsp sesame oil
½ tsp black pepper                                   2 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Directions:

Score the meat opposite the bone, ½ inch apart and ½ inch deep, lengthwise and crosswise.  Combine all ingredients except sesame seeds and pour into a plastic sealable freezer bag with the ribs.  Press out excess air and seal securely.  Rotate bag gently to coat the ribs; refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.  Remove ribs (reserving marinade) and place on a broiler rack with the scored side up.  Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for approximately 16 to 18 minutes or, until ribs are brown and tops are crisp; brush occasionally with marinade.  Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
