Cheese Krispies

Cheese Krispies
(Makes 6 dozen)

1 cup grated Cheddar cheese                        ½ cup butter, softened                   1 cup all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt                                                         1 tsp red pepper                              1 cup Rice Krispies cereal


Combine cheese and butter in a mixing bowl.  Mash together until well combined.  Stir in flour, salt and red pepper.  Add the Rice Krispies and mix thoroughly.  The dough may be refrigerated or frozen at this point if desired (refrigerate for up to 10 days in advance or freeze up to 1 month).  Drop by the teaspoonful (1-inch apart) onto an unbuttered cookie sheet.  Flatten slightly with a fork.  Bake at 350ºF for 12 minutes.
